Gentle, real bird sounds on your macOS menu bar.

About Bird Chimes

Bird Chimes plays gentle, real bird sounds at the top of every hour from your menu bar — a natural and calm alternative to harsh timer alerts. 18 real bird sounds play randomly so each hour feels a little different.

Bird Chimes is built for focus, accessibility, and mindful breaks. It runs quietly in your menu bar and respects your Focus modes, quiet hours, and Do Not Disturb settings.

Getting Started

  1. Click the Bird Chimes icon in your menu bar to open settings.
  2. Choose how often you want a chime — every hour, 30 minutes, or custom.
  3. Toggle Enable chimes on.
  4. Optionally enable Focus integration or set quiet hours.
